Introduction

Unicel was established in 1978 as a manufacturer of aluminum honeycomb. The primary application for its products in its early days was for the U.S. Navy.

 

Since then, Unicel’s honeycomb product line expanded to include stainless steel and mild steel honeycomb, as well as a variety of non-metallic honeycomb.

 

Upon request from a light rail vehicle builder, we were able to solve some serious weight issues on some overweight vehicles, saving thousands of pounds of weight and tens of thousands of dollars in penalties. Unicel’s rail car interior panels and floors continues to be a strong product line.

 

From just a phone call, our talents are put to work to provide technical assistance, from the design stage to specification writing. Our experience in manufacturing bonded honeycomb panels and assembling large structures is put to work all for the end result of quality products and on time delivery.
